(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time/money.)
Grayland is a 2.5D action/adventure game by team at 1Der Entertainment. The game is about a story of a little bird that’s found itself in the middle of a war between human and alien forces. The object is to fly and fight your way through radiation filled lands and save the world. Controls are easy with a single left v-stick to move around, while tapping the screen “attacks”. The noire visuals are absolutely beautiful, as you witness this war raging on through a bird’s eyes. The game isn’t easy by any means. You need to collect these colored dots on the screen to keep your life gauge up, all while trying to navigate through chaos without being killed. I’m really enjoying Grayland. The whole thing pulls you in with it’s grayish atmosphere and beautiful soundtrack. You don’t even notice that your technically pooping on things to attack. Grayland shows that there’s still great games on the App Store outside of Apple Arcade. Definitely check this one out!
