Norman’s Night In iOS SNAPP REVIEW!

(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time/money.)

Norman’s Night In is a physics-based adventure game by the indie team at Bactrian Games. You play as Norman, an old shopkeeper that ends up falling down a hole with one of his bowling balls of all things. The hole ends up leading to an enormous underground cave and this is where the adventure starts. What’s unique about this game is that you can only move by slingshotting your bowling ball at Norman. The controls are as simple as just pulling your finger back and letting go. This makes for some tricky maneuvering in a lot of places though. There’s a lot of hilarious and frustrating trial & errors. As you progress, you’ll be able to upgrade your ball and gain new abilities. There’s also a bunch of different balls to find and collect. I’m absolutely in love with this game so far. There’s a lot of exploring to do, puzzles to figure out, and the storyline is very well written. Norman’s Night In fits perfectly on mobile. It’s highly polished and easy to play. If you’re a fan at all of indies, this game is a MUST-HAVE. (And I don’t say that very often.)

Norman’s Night In is also in this week’s iOS Roundup!
