(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time/money.)
Looks like it’s time for another SNAPP Challenge!
Infinibugs is a retro-style endless SHMUP (shoot em’ up) by the indie team at Retro Dreamer. You are humanity’s last hope against the evil army of Infinibugs. The game plays like your standard vertical shooter with enemies coming from the top of the screen as you move your thumb around to control your ship. There’s a unique twist though. Bug skulls are randomly placed throughout the area that block your shot until you destroy it. On top of that, when you kill a bug, it leaves a skull in its place. So, you’re battling the environment along with the bugs. Infinibugs is a blasty-blast to play. There’s 50 unique ships to unlock, several different game modes, and a ton of power-ups. If you’re a fan of SHMUPS or action games in general, Infinibugs is definitely worth picking up.
(If you want to get into this week’s SNAPP Challenge action, just screenshot your high score and post it on Twitter with the hashtag, #SNAPPChallenge. You can also post your score in our Discord! So far, my score is 307. So, come get some!)
Infinibugs is also in this week’s iOS Roundup!
