Spacemite iOS SNAPP REVIEW!

(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time/money.)

Spacemite is a side scrolling action-platformer and the first game by indie developer, Danboco. You play as a “Spacemite”. A genetic cross between a human and a mite (bug) that’s been bred to be a worker on a spaceship. Eventually, micro-alien robots invade the ship and it’s up to you to save the day. There’s something really cool about seeing the world through a small creature’s eyes. I had fun just running around the ship doing odd jobs and just looking at things. The on-screen controls are easy to use and the physics is near perfect. I even found myself chuckling at some of the writing in the game. This game really impressed me with how much fun it is to play. The gameplay is constantly changing and keeping things fresh. Spacemite is the true definition of an indie game. It may not have all the bells and whistles like the big budget titles on the App Store, but it’s fun to play and oozing with charm.

Spacemite is also in this week’s iOS Roundup!
