(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time/money.)
Bronze Hoof is a hardcore action-platformer that came out of nowhere by indie developer, Vadym Andrieiev of PCRSIC. It’s an auto-runner that has you taking on the role of a centaur as he fights his way through several different ancient landscapes. The game takes a lot of inspiration from classic side scrollers of the 90’s. Especially the difficulty. Bronze Hoof is definitely tough, but it’s beatable. The controls are basic with just tapping on the left side of the screen to attack and the right side to jump. It’s all about timing in this game. You’re constantly moving, so you’ve got to be quick with every decision that you make. What I really like about this game is that it never gets repetitive. There are quite a few changes in gameplay the further you progress. Bronze Hoof may not have all the bells and whistles that current games have, but it more than makes up for it in charm. It’s absolutely beautiful, creative, and most of all, fun to play. Don’t sleep on this gem!
(SIDE NOTE: This game has the best app description that I have ever come across. Make sure to read it!)
