Alien Trouble iOS SNAPP REVIEW!

(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time/money.)

Alien Trouble is a side scrolling platformer by indie developer, Hakan Dede. You play as one of five different aliens that crash landed their ship on the “Green Planet”. It starts out like a comic strip that “comes to life” as you make your way through 45 levels across 3 different environments. After you get past the first couple of easier levels, Alien Trouble is actually pretty fun. There’s some clever little puzzles mixed in with all the platforming. There’s not much else going on with this game. The cartoonish visuals are very well done and the controls get the job done. You also have 5 different characters that you can purchase with the coins that you collect in-game. The one thing that I thought was cool is that the game was actually created on an iPad. Alien Trouble feels like one of those titles where the developer just wants people to play and enjoy it. There’s no IAPs and the ads are pretty lite. If you’re looking for a fun little platformer to kill some time on, this one is worth the download.

Alien Trouble is also in this week’s iOS Roundup!
