Incredible Mandy is an adventure-puzzle game that was recently released on the App Store by the team at Dotoyou Games. It’s tough to explain the story and fit everything in a single paragraph. You’re basically exploring the memories of a brother and sister. These memories take you through 8 completely different environments which really keeps the game fresh. I will say that the game is more “puzzle” than adventure. It’s definitely a slow pace in Incredible Mandy. You spend a lot of time looking around and figuring out how to get to the next area by using the skills you’ve learned. The boss battles are where I honestly had the most fun. They are a great change of pace just when you’re thinking things are getting slow. I know it sounds like I’m disappointed in this game, but I’m really not. Incredible Mandy is a really unique game with some absolutely gorgeous visuals and character designs. It’s a game that forces you to use brains over brawn. Fans of puzzle games will love it, but if you’re looking for a lot of action, you may want to pass. Regardless, Incredible Mandy is a solid title and an intriguing journey.
