Dungeon Restaurant iOS SNAPP Review!

(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)

Dungeon Restaurant is a pixel art cooking/restaurant sim by indie developer, Kitsch Pixel. You play as a small time medieval cook that runs a fairly popular restaurant in a dungeon. The game plays like a mixture of many cooking games. The objective is to take customer’s orders and serve them in a decent time. What’s unique is that you’re actually doing the cooking also. You have to memorize recipes, chop and slice ingredients, mix spices, and of course, try not burn anything. Plate presentation also seems to play a role. Making customers happy brings in money that can be used to purchase new ingredients, recipes, and even dress up the place a little. Dungeon Restaurant is a whole lot deeper than I originally expected. There’s all sorts of things to do. My only issue is that the tutorial is a bit quick in the beginning. Which basically means that you’ll end up learning everything on your own. Regardless, I’m really impressed with Dungeon Restaurant. It’s full of charm and has enough content to keep you playing for a while. If you’re in the mood for cooking some fried cockroaches and giant spider pie, definitely check out Dungeon Restaurant.
