Deadword is a survival based word game that recently released on the App Store by indie developer Derek Seibel. The city has been overrun by zombies and it’s up to you to use your brain to survive. Everything in the game is done with clever word puzzles. Whether it’s moving around or fighting, you’ll need to link four letter words together to accomplish things. I really love when developers try something new. Deadword is a really unique mashup of a word puzzle and a full fledged zombie game. There’s perks and skills to discover, and plenty of loot to find. There’s 30 chapters in the F2P (free to play) Story Mode and with $1.99 you can unlock an Endless Mode, a Bliss Mode, and an extra perk slot. Dreadword is a breath of fresh undead air in a sea of sameness. Whether you’re a fan of puzzle games or just want something different, this is a game that’s definitely worth checking out.
