Swordshot iOS SNAPP REVIEW!

(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)

Swordshot is a retro inspired casual “sword shooter” that was recently released on the App Store by Oleg Klaus under the highly respected Crescent Moon umbrella. It’s a unique game where timing is your best friend (or worst enemy). Each level plays out with you battling it out against an enemy. The enemies are usually surrounded by some sort of spinning objects that block your path. The object is to shoot your sword without being blocked. Things start off pretty simple. I found myself a rhythm that got me through the first handful of levels, but the difficulty ramps up pretty good after once you get to the second area. I’ve been really enjoying my time with Swordshot so far. The pixel art is beautiful and I absolutely love the character design. The game definitely has that “just one more go” vibe to it. Swordshot is also on PC, but the game feels absolutely perfect on mobile. The controls are simple, there’s different power-ups to collect, and there’s a bunch of levels to keep you busy for awhile. If you’re looking for something a little different and want to check those reflexes, definitely pick this game up!
