(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)
Tusker’s Number Adventure is one of those games that came out of nowhere for me. I’m pretty sure it’s been on PC for awhile, but it never hit my radar. Well, luckily Digi-Chain Games just released it on the App Store! Tusker’s Number Adventure is a really unique game where at first glance seems like a children’s game about numbers. But, once you dig into it, you’ll see that there’s something more sinister going on within the code. Throughout the game, you’ll be hit with software glitches, bugs, and malware alerts that push the story along as things go from bad to worse. The game itself plays like a top-down RPG at heart, but throughout your journey, you’ll experience all kinds of different gameplay styles and mini-games. I’ve been pleasantly surprised with Tusker’s Number Adventure so far. The characters are charming and the story is well written. The developer did a great job with breaking the 4th wall which is hard to do sometimes. If you’re looking for something a little different, definitely pick this one up!
Tusker’s Number Adventure is also in this week’s iOS Roundup!
