Tiny Shooter iOS SNAPP REVIEW!

(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)

Tiny Hero Shooter: Invasion (or simply Tiny Shooter) is a side scrolling SHMUP (shoot em’ up) by Codepassion that released on the App Store a couple of weeks ago. You play as a…..well, a tiny hero as you take on an alien invasion that’s threatened to take over. It’s not a very deep story, but you get the idea and that’s all that matters. The first thing that I have to mention are the visuals. They are absolutely gorgeous! You literally feel like you are playing a cartoon. Not to mention the character designs are so damn unique. I really had high hopes for this one before I fired the game up. Unfortunately, the controls seem to hold the game back for me. I understand that Tiny Shooter is supposed to be a fast-paced game, but the controls are way too sensitive. A simple roll of the thumb and your character flies across the screen. Using the optional joystick seems to help a little, but it’s still not perfect. Mechanics aside, I really liked Tiny Shooter. There’s lots of skills, weapons, and superpowers to unlock and upgrade, and tons of missions to rank up on. You’ll definitely need to complete those missions because things can be pretty expensive to unlock. Regardless of the touchy controls, Tiny Shooter is still worth checking out. It’s charming and absolutely beautiful to look at. One update with an adjustable sensitivity option and this could be a game that well be talking about at the end of the year!
