Quick Rally iOS SNAPP Review!

(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)

Quick Rally is a casual arcade rally racing-style game by indie developer Adam Rogan. The game pits you against the clock as you race your way through 22 different tracks. Now, I’ve always been a fan of racing games that are in portrait mode. I like the top-down position of the camera and the fact that you can see a good distance of road ahead of you. Quick Rally does that job perfectly. The game is definitely tough, but a blast to play if you’re into racing games. I really appreciate the work that went into vehicle physics. You see the front end of the cars lift up when taking off and each vehicle actually feels different when driving them. My only gripe is in the controls. You have to physically lift your thumb off the screen to change directions or go from gas to brake. With portrait mode games, your hands tend to cramp quicker, so the ability to slide or roll your thumb from button to button would be a huge improvement. Regardless, Quick Rally is an excellent title. There’s 16 vehicles to unlock with 22 different stages. And it looks like Weekly Challenges will be starting in the game soon. If you’re a fan of racing games, definitely check out Quick Rally.
