Here’s one that’s been on my device for quite awhile. Flappy Dragon is a flappy-style arcade game by Core Ventura that was released on the App Store back in March of last year. You control one of many dragons as you try to make it as far as you can before your inevitable demise. Those of you that have played any one of the many Flappy Bird clones out there will know the basic game mechanics. What makes Flappy Dragon stand out outside of its clean looking visuals are the details. Every dragon has its own unique play-style, scenario, and art. Some dragons will have you tapping the screen to move, while others may have you hold the screen to move. Some dragons will have towers with knights that you’ll need to take down, while others may be underwater with mermaids. You get the gist. Dragons also have their own abilities and stats, so a bit of strategy is involved when playing. As you progress, you’ll earn crowns that you can use to purchase eggs that’ll eventually hatch into new dragons. Flappy Dragon is a solid arcade game that’s easy to pick up and play. The developers have been fixing and adding things in monthly updates since it was first released. So, there’s always something new going on. If you aren’t burnt out on the whole Flappy Bird craze, Flappy Dragon is an overlooked game that’s definitely worth checking out!
