Zombie Motion iOS SNAPP Review!

(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)

Zombie Motion is a side scrolling puzzle platformer game by Philippe Zay/Roger that was recently released on the App Store. You play as a lone zombie as you make your way through multiple different crazy landscapes while trying to avoid traps and stay alive. This game really took me by surprise. Sure, it may be a little rough around the edges. The physics can be wonky at times and the controls, although work well enough, can be a bit stiff. But, that can all be looked over by the rest of the game’s charm. The game is basically one long acid trip. One moment you’re walking a tightrope and jumping over pyramids, the next moment you’re getting chased by a ginormous skeleton. That’s what’s cool about Zombie Motion. You never know what’s going to happen next. The controls work similar to the game Limbo. You swipe left or right to move your character and swipe up to jump. Sometimes you’ll need to push or drag things which can be done by simply holding your thumb on the screen. These are all things that you have to figure out for yourself. The game doesn’t hold your hand or give you much tutorial. Zombie Motion is a unique experience. There are tons of secrets to find and you can even change up the look of the game by tweaking the settings. If you’re looking for something different, definitely check out Zombie Motion.
