(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)
Lilt Way is a rhythm-based RPG that was recently released on the App Store by Zoo Corp. There’s not much of a story especially for a role playing game, but you’re basically an unnamed hero that needs to explore, kill enemies, and defeat bosses to save the world or something. The story it’s important in this game. What makes Lilt Way fun is its rhythmic gameplay. Controls are as simple as tapping to the beat on the 4-way directional pad. This moves your character and also attacks enemies. As you progress, you’ll pick up coins and materials that you’ll use to craft new weapons and gear. Lilt Way is a pretty solid RPG that sticks to its roots without using a lot of bells & whistles. The pixel art is well done and most importantly, the soundtrack is beautifully catchy and fits the theme. The game is F2P, but only has an IAP to remove ads. Everything else can be picked up just by playing the game. There’s not much else to say about Lilt Way. What you see is what you get. It’s just a fun little RPG that’ll steal your time instead of stealing your money. If you’re a fan of RPGs or rhythm games, Lilt Way is definitely worth checking out.
