DERE Vengeance is the newest installment in the DERE EXE series by AppSir Games. AppSir has created this unique story driven horror-platformer sub-genre that I’ve been hooked on and this newest game does not disappoint. Without giving away too much, DERE Vengeance has you playing a game that is in the process of being corrupted/haunted. Evil entities are living within the game and are trying to make your life a living hell. If that wasn’t scary enough, the platforming itself is absolutely frightening! I’m normally not a big fan of overly challenging games, but AppSir did a good job with keeping things challenging, but not impossible. And luckily, there are plenty of save points! I’m still playing DERE Vengeance, but I’ve been having a lot of fun with the game so far. The story is well written and the level design is bonkers. There is a lot of fourth wall breaking going on, so I highly recommend wearing headphones. If you’re a fan of platformers or just games that are different, I highly recommend DERE Vengeance! It really is something that needs to be experienced!
