Otter’s Odyssey iOS SNAPP Review!

(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)

Otter’s Odyssey is a vertical platformer that was recently released on the App Store by Otter’s Odyssey Limited. The game has you controlling a little otter as you try to escape the forest and reunite with his friends. The game has you dropping from platform to platform while trying to reach the bottom. Hedgehogs, bats, and all sorts of traps are trying to stop you as you make your way down. Otter’s Odyssey is actually a really fun little game with quite a bit of polish. From the cute characters to the level design. Each run is different from the last keeping things fresh. The swipe based controls work well with swiping left and right to move and up and down to jump. As you progress, you’ll earn shells that you can use to purchase new characters with unique abilities and power-ups. I’ve been having a lot of fun with this one so far. Sure, the game may not  have a ton of bells & whistles, but it’s got enough content to keep you busy for quite a while. Otter’s Odyssey is just a solid platformer with a whole lot of charm. With no ads or IAPs, I don’t see any reason why this game shouldn’t be on your device.

Otter’s Odyssey is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup!
