ArtKnight iOS SNAPP Review!

(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)

ArtKnight is a low-poly RPG that was recently released on the App Store by developer Meleiko. This is the first game by this developer and is still considered in Early Access, so I decided to check it out. ArtKnight is a level-based game that is told as a rags to riches story by the now King. The game has you going on missions as you try to rebuild a destroyed kingdom that you’ve run across. The actual gameplay is fairly slow and feels a bit too easy to start. But as you progress and gain new weapons, ArtKnight starts to feel more like a mini RPG. The controls are pretty simple with your character auto-attacking at the nearest enemy as you move around using a single joystick. Once you start to rebuild your kingdom, you’ll open up shops and more that you can visit. ArtKnight is still a little rough around the edges, but is a great start for a new developer. If you’re a fan of light RPGs and want to try something new, check out ArtKnight.
