Earn To Die Rogue iOS SNAPP Review!

(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)

Earn To Die Rogue is the third installment and kind of a spin-off in the Earn To Die series from NotDoppler. I’ve been a huge fan of the ETD games since the first game released way back in 2012-2013. So, I was excited when I first caught wind of Rogue. Earn To Die Rogue is a bit different from the other two games. This time around, you spend a lot of time outside of your vehicle killing zombies. You’ll go room to room shooting down anything that walks. As you level-up, you’ll choose one of three power-ups that’ll stack as you progress. You know the whole roguelike gameplay by now. Earn To Die Rogue is pretty cut and paste with all the other “survival-style” games that are flooding the App Store at the moment. I will say that NotDoppler has done a pretty good job with adding their special touch to the saturated genre. Power-ups are somewhat unique and it’s nice having a mixture of driving and walking. I’m having a lot of fun with Earn To Die Rogue so far, but I’m still kind of on the fence with the game. It’s a solid game, but it’s sad seeing all the F2P elements added to such a great franchise. Luckily, things don’t feel too aggressive outside of the multiple currencies and loot crates. Regardless, Earn To Die Rogue is a fun little roguelike with a decent amount of content. If you’re a fan of the first two games, chances are that you’ll probably like this one too.
