(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time/money.)
Prison Planet is an arcade simulation-ish game by the development team at Springloaded. The game has you in control of an intergalactic space-prison. That means taking care of the building itself, it’s prisoners, and more. As you’re prison grows, your prisoners will have demands that need to be met. You’ll need to keep them happy all while making a profit. Monday is made over time while on and off the game. Prison Planet is actually pretty unique. You have the usual research and development gameplay, but there’s also a cool “lock-down” mode that happens when getting new inmates. This involves your security drone and locking off parts of the prison without killing anyone. Springloaded did an excellent job with this game. There’s a lot to do, a bunch of different alien species to collect, and the gameplay is pretty fun. If you’re looking for something a little different, Prison Planet is definitely worth checking out.
