(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)
Tumble Rush is a physics-based marble maze style game that was recently released on the App Store by developer Elliot Colp of Juvenile Pursuits. It’s a simple game where the objective is to get your marble to the end of the maze while picking up all 3 stars scattered throughout the area. There’s 3 different control schemes to move your marble. Tilt, touch, and joystick. I’ve never been a fan of tilt controls, but I actually preferred them in this game. Levels start off fairly simple with only a few obstacles in your way, but once you get through the first dozen or so levels, things start getting pretty interesting. I’ve been having a lot of fun with Tumble Rush so far. The pixel art is gorgeous and the level design is really well done. There are dozens of marbles to collect with the entire theme of the game changing depending on which marble you are using. And with hundreds of levels and 3 different modes to play, there’s quite a bit of content packed into this game. Tumble Rush is an impressive arcade game with a lot to keep you busy. If you’re at all a fan of mobile games, this one shouldn’t be missed.
Tumble Rush is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup!
