Level Tank is a top-down dual-stick shooter that was released late last year by developer Darion Pescada of Hyper Bit Games. It’s a simple arena-based game where you control a tank as you try to survive as long as possible against waves of enemies. At first glance, Level Tank doesn’t look like much. The visuals aren’t that impressive, there’s no story, and there aren’t a ton of bells and whistles to catch your eye. Luckily, I gave this game a shot when it popped up on the App Store! Level Tank is an absolute gem with tons of content crammed in. The game starts off with an Endless, Wave, and Adventure Mode. As you progress, you’ll unlock over 20 new modes, you can upgrade and customize your tank, and even unlock new skills via a skill tree. Level Tank is the perfect game for anyone who likes top-down shooters. The controls are super tight, the chiptune soundtrack is catchy, and there are tons of enemies to challenge you. There’s even GameCenter leaderboards and achievements to chase down. I feel bad for not writing about this game sooner, but if you are at all a fan of shooters, Level Tank needs to be on your device.
