(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)
Uncasual is a unique and somewhat casual RPG that released on the App Store late last year by indie developer, Napas Torteeka. It’s a reaction-based game that’s basically made up of boss battles. There’s nine different monsters to slay, each with their own set of levels. Fighting is all about tapping/swiping the screen at the right time or simply just tapping as fast as you can. As you progress, you’ll be able to upgrade your abilities in between levels. Uncasual seems easy at first glance, but it can get really difficult at times. And grinding doesn’t seem to help much. It’s all about reaction and skill. The game does seem to drag out on the later levels of each boss. You start to get sick of seeing the same monster after a while. Regardless, Uncasual is a fun little RPG. The visuals are charming and there’s enough content there to keep you playing for a while. So, if you’re looking for something a little challenging, Uncasual is definitely worth checking out! Also, It’s F2P with no ads. (Support the hell out of indies!)
