Fork’d Mountain Biking iOS SNAPP Review!

(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)

Fork’d Mountain Biking is a MTB game by the Montana based studio MakeShift Digital. The game was released at the end of December and takes some inspiration from the indie hit Lonely Mountains Downhill. The game has a really nice top-down view as you ride through a decent sized open world full of trails. It took me a little while to catch on to Fork’d. The controls take a bit to get used to and I didn’t know that I had to pass the obstacle course before the different trails opened up. But, once I sunk a little time into it, the game became a lot of fun. As of right now, the game has 22 timed trials and the ability to customize your bike and rider. But, it looks like the team has some big plans for this game in the future. Fork’d Mountain Biking is one of those hidden gems that just needs a little TLC to become great. I would love to see a joystick control added. I found myself getting confused on steering when the camera would turn around. Regardless, I’ve been having a lot of fun with this one. If you’re a fan of mountain biking games, definitely check out Fork’d. This is MakeShift’s first game and I have a feeling it’s going to be a hit after a couple tweaks/updates.
