Janusz iOS SNAPP Review!

(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)

I’ve always been a fan of weird little quirky games on the App Store. There’s something about them that makes me smile. Janusz is looking to be one of those games. Janusz recently released on the App Store and looks to be the first game released by developer Lukasz Mielewczyk. In this game you control the odd looking Janusz as you fling him through 60 different levels full of traps, spikes, bombs, and more. The object is to get Janusz through each level without killing him. Similar to ragdoll simulator games, you fling your little guy around obstacles and try to steer him to the finish line. The first few levels are fairly easy. I got through them without even hurting little Janusz. But, once things like pools of acid, anti-gravity areas, and exploding barrels started to appear, I found myself having to strategize to make it through. If that wasn’t tough enough, you also need to find the 3 hidden onions in each level! As you progress, you’ll pick up coins that you can use to purchase new clothes and outfits for your character. Janusz is a little rough around the edges and is definitely not the best looking game on the App Store. But, it’s actually kind of fun. There’s a Story Mode with 60 levels and an Endless Mode to see how far you can go before dying. If you’re looking for a quirky little physics-based game. Janusz is working checking out.

Janusz is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup!
