Moonshot Mission iOS SNAPP Review!

(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)

Moonshot Mission is a pixel art arcade game that was recently released on the App Store by Finnish developer Planet Jone. You play as an astronaut as you make your way through 50 space themed missions. That’s honestly it! There’s no story, no power-ups, no upgrades, no nonsense to deal with. What makes this game different is that every level has its own unique mechanics. One level may have your character auto-running while you simply tap the screen to jump. Another level you may have to hold your finger on the screen to run while letting off to stop for hazards. Later on, things get a little trickier with some lite puzzle elements implemented. Moonshot Mission is a game that could be played through in one sitting for some and take a little longer for others. It can get difficult at times, but the game is never too difficult. It’s all about trial & error. It’s honestly rare to see games like this anymore. A game simply made just for fun. I’ve had a blast with Moonshot Mission. I found myself not wanting it to end. I was always excited to see what the next level was. Unfortunately, all good things have to come to an end. But, I enjoyed every minute of my time in space. I highly recommend checking this one out!

Moonshot Mission is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup!
