(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really full-fledged game reviews as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know if it’s worth your time or money.)
It’s Literally Just Mowing is the latest game by developer Protostar. It’s a game about….well, about literally just mowing the grass. The object is to cut the lawns of your neighborhood without leaving any tall grass behind. What’s different about this game is that it has almost a zen-like feel to it. Feeling the mower slow down when you hit the tall grass, maneuvering around gardens and yard decorations. There’s no timers, no score, no certain way to cut. It’s just a relaxing game that’s controlled with simple swipes. As you make your way down the streets, you’ll earn “toolboxes” that you can unlock for rewards like new hats, mower Bodies, wheels, and more. You can also collect butterflies while you’re out there in the sun. It’s Literally Just Mowing is exactly what it says it is. A game about cutting the grass. I’ve actually been really enjoying it too. It’s calming, but engaging enough to keep you playing. Who knew that I’d actually enjoy cutting the grass?
It’s Literally Just Mowing is also in this week’s iOS Roundup!
